Disneyland 2016

About a month ago we got a text from Chuck asking us if we wanted to be part of the surprise trip to Disneyland he was planning for Emily over Memorial Day weekend.
Emily works for Lucas Film (owned by Disney) so she gets free entry into all Disney parks.
So although it was a terrible inconvenience, we decided that we would make the time for A FREE TRIP TO DISNEYLAND WITH SOME OF OUR FAVORITE PEOPLE.
We booked our flights five minutes later.
We flew in Friday night and Saturday morning went to pick up the Roitingers and surprise Emily. It was so amazing to see the look on her face when we showed up!
We were a pretty nervous about it being insanely crowded but the lines weren't bad at all! We never waited in line for more than 25 minutes and even that was unusual.
Chuck's expressions were priceless.
Soft serve on the peer was a must. This place is so gorgeous at Twilight.
Waiting for Tower of Terror!
They are the cutest brother and sister pair you'll ever see.
Enjoying the ambiance of Paradise Peer at sunset.
Lobster nachos for dinner on Paradise Peer. SO GOOD. We also feasted on corn dogs, clam chowder bread bowls, a salt caramel Ghirardelli Sundae, pear soda, Dole whip floats, and a fried chicken dinner.
The swinging ferris wheels were so much more terrifying than they looked.
About ride the new "Hyper"Space mountain for the first time.
We managed to get tickets to the new Frozen musical. It was such a highlight of the trip. The acting, special effects, and singing were sensational. I felt like I was on Broadway!
Just fussin around.
Toon Town at Twilight
This was actually a box of treats we got on the way to the airport but they were too pretty AND DELICIOUS not to share.
The highlight of the whole trip was the Diamond Celebration fireworks show on Sunday night. We were planning to watch them on Saturday night but they were cancelled due to high winds. I am SO glad it worked out on Sunday night because it was unbelievable. The music, the special effects, the nostalgia—I may or may not have teared up.
I'm so glad we didn't let fear of long lines or crowds hold us back from taking this trip. It's one we'll never forget.
I can't wait until we can do it again. Disney World 2017?
